First Friday: A Study on Why We Move

New York-based dancer and choreographer Shira Kagan-Shafman and composer and violinist Leandria Lott come together again to share a new work exploring the question “why do we move?” Drawing from their ongoing collaborations between music and dance, both artists also provoke a desire to understand the question “what in you moves me?” Their work seeks to provide answers by highlighting the trust needed to move: trust in the body, in the witnesses, and in each other.
